An Evolving History of BIM/VDC

cityscapehistWe began our BIM/VDC initiative a few years ago at the Helen Diller Reseach Lab for the University of California in San Francisco and the Coyote Ridge Corrections Facility in Connel, WA. Later, at both phases of the Phoenix Convention Center Expansion, we expanded our implementation of BIM/VDC.

At CityScape Phase I in downtown Phoenix, we used BIM/VDC extensively. Here, Hunt also became the first general contractor in the United States to use ArtrA software – a 6D tool allowing us to provide the owner all critical O&M as-built data for lifecycle facility management.

We are now using BIM/VDC at the Florida Marlins Ballpark in Miami, scheduled for completion in April 2012. The Methodist Hospital North Campus Expansion in Houston will also take advantage of our BIM/VDC process.
