Simply stated, sustainability affects every facet of our business and project delivery.

Doing our part to protect the environment is both our duty and privilege. That's why we have adopted our own Green Initiatives in an effort to live, work and deliver projects more sustainably. Our expectation is that these initiatives will continue to evolve and change with new ideas, technology, Hunt team input and collaboration with our trade contracting partners and vendors.

Build-it Green

As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Hunt maintains a team of construction professionals who are Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) accredited, well-versed in assisting owners with achieving certification for environmentally sustainable construction projects, and proficient with the USGBC’s LEED® certification process.

Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Our intensive use of BIM tools saves time and resources by collaborating with design and trade professionals virtually. Constructing a model and performing clash detection allows for streamlined fabrication processes, eliminating field rework. This reduces overall material consumption while conserving project resources and minimizing the project waste stream. BIM becomes even more powerful when linked with our project schedule. Hunt has capabilities to perform BIM in multiple dimensions including: 3D (model), 4D (model + schedule), 5D, (model + cost loaded schedule) and 6D (model + cost loaded schedule + commissioning data).

Safety

Our rigorous, award winning safety program is yet another effort towards maximizing our sustainable efforts. Promotion of a safe and healthy workplace through the philosophy of continuous improvement and trade contractor participation fosters increased worker productivity, lower incident rates and jobsite pride.

Quality

It is our practice to conduct lifecycle evaluations and analysis for building systems and components and to recommend sustainable systems, materials, practices and standards to maximize efficiency and value for the life of your building. For Hunt, quality begins at project conception and is our responsibility to follow through all phases of building delivery.
