University of Akron InfoCision Stadium Summa Field Opened

InfoCisionHunt Construction Group, the nations premier sports builder is gearing up for the season opener at the University of Akron’s InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field along with local partner – Welty Building Company. On Saturday, September 12, 2009, the Zips will take to their new field for their season opener against Morgan State.

The new 352,000-gross-square-foot, 7-level, 30,000-seat football stadium boasts a host of amenities including: luxury seating (522 club seats, 152 loge seats); 17 suites (16 private suites with 16 seats per suite; one 52-seat “Presidential Suite” for the University); a state-of-the-art video board with scoreboard and dynamic sound system; 21 restrooms; ten (10) full-service concession locations; two (2) full team shops; three (3) ticket/will call locations; and the Endzone facility houses the team meeting/locker room, coaches meeting/locker room, press room, equipment, and sports medicine operations. The number and power of lights comply and accommodate national television broadcasts, and the scoreboard measures in at 60 feet by 84 feet and includes signs, video, LED ribbon, a sound cabinet and a back-lit UA athletics logo.

Other collegiate sports facilities Hunt Construction Group has built include: University of Illinois Memorial Stadium (home of the Fighting Illini); University of Louisville Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium (home of the Cardinals); University of Oregon Autzen Stadium (home of the Ducks); University of Connecticut Rentschler Field (home of the Huskies); Purdue University Ross-Ade Stadium (home of the Boilermakers); Oregon State University Reser Stadium (home of the Beavers); Southern Methodist University Gerald J. Ford Stadium (home of the Mustangs); Syracuse University Carrier Dome (home of the Orange); University of Kentucky Commonwealth Stadium (home of the Wildcats); Indiana University Memorial Stadium (home of the Hoosiers); Iowa State University Jack Trice Stadium (home of the Cyclones); University of Memphis Liberty Bowl (home of the Tigers); West Virginia University Milan Puskar Stadium (home of the Mountaineers); Arizona State University Sun Devil Stadium (home of the Sun Devils).
