Crockett Elementary School day of charity

Members of Hunt’s West Division Team in Phoenix, AZ and their family members, once again, donated their time for the Crockett Elementary School charity day.  Every year for the past seven years, Hunt employees have donated their time on a Saturday to complete various projects around the Crockett Elementary School.

This year, the Hunt team took every item on the schools wish list and made it a reality.  Projects completed included painting of curbs and driveways, the cafeteria stage walls and bulletin boards, teachers’ lounge and the front office and hallway. Hunt would like to give a big thanks to Mark Gong of ColorCor who took care of our painting supply needs.

Wagner Noel Performing Arts Topping Out

At least 100 dignitaries, donors and area residents joined Hunt Construction Group in the topping out ceremony for the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center on Tuesday at University of Texas of the Permian Basin’s CEED Building.

Being built off State Highway 191 and Farm-to-Market Road 1788, opening of the $89 million center is expected in 2012.

State Rep. Tom Craddick was the key to pushing $99 million in tuition revenue bonds through the Legislature three years ago that funded the performing arts center and a science and technology complex at UTPB. Other contributions were made by the UT System.
