Dan Lazear and Ron Terry are two members of the Hunt family with perhaps the most unique office around – the cockpit of Hunt’s company aircraft. The two of them have been all around the nation to Hunt’s many landmark projects and played an integral role in the growth of the company.
This year, the Hunt family is saying goodbye as Dan and Ron celebrate their retirement. Hunt Chairman/CEO Robert G. Hunt shared, “For over 35 years, Ron Terry and Dan Lazear have logged thousands of hours flying Hunt people across the world. The tenure in itself is quite an accomplishment. On top of that, they got us all to our destinations safely, and for that I am extremely grateful and appreciative as are all of your hundreds of passengers.”
Landmark Aviation at Scottsdale Municipal Airport and the Scottsdale Fire Department welcomed Dan home on his last flight on January 29 with a water salute. The water salute is a longstanding tradition marked by a water cannon vehicle or series of vehicles lined up perpendicular on the sides of the taxiway or apron to form an arch or series of arches.

Kevin P Turner, Assistant Safety Manager, Hunt Eastern Division, has completed all requirements for certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). This highly respected certification is awarded to individuals who meet academic standards, satisfy professional safety experience requirements, and have passed two rigorous examinations. The examinations cover engineering and management aspects of safety, applied sciences, legal and regulatory matters, professional affairs, and other safety-related topics.
Certified Safety Professionals specialize in protecting workers, the public, property, and the environment by identifying, evaluating, and controlling hazards. The CSP directs safety programs at a corporate level to reduce risk and loss. Steven Schoolcraft, BSCP Examination Director, said, “Becoming a CSP elevates a safety professional to the top of his or her field.”

Bob Overton has joined Hunt as Vice President, Human Resources. Bob comes to Hunt with over 40 years of experience in the human resource field.
After 20 plus years in the Navy, Bob worked as Vice President of Human Resources for two construction management firms and later began his own consulting company.
We are excited to have Bob’s expertise on board as Hunt continues to grow.
