Turkey distribution in Little Havana

With 500 days remaining until opening day at the New Marlins Ballpark, the Marlins gave back by hosting a neighborly Thanksgiving Distribution celebration. Over 500 Thanksgiving meals were donated to families in Little Havana on November 18. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami and Abriendo Puertas chose the receiving families based on financial need.

Each family received a turkey, standard side dishes and dessert. “As opening day at the ballpark approaches, the Marlins continue our commitment to making an impact in the community,” said Alfredo Mesa, Executive Director of the Marlins Community Foundation. “We take our neighborly duty seriously and we intend to make a difference in the lives of our future neighbors.”
